Bridger Bowl, one of the state’s popular ski resorts, has reported a base depth of about 26 inches. On Christmas Day, the resort will open its slopes at 10:00 a.m. and close at 4:00 p.m. However, visitors should be aware that there will be no bus service on the holiday.
Red Lodge Mountain is also in full swing, with four lifts and ten runs open for skiers and snowboarders. The resort is offering great conditions for both beginners and experienced riders alike.
Discovery Ski Area is open every day, including Christmas Day, and reports 24 inches of snow at the summit. Its consistent operations ensure a reliable experience for visitors looking to ski during the holiday season.
Lookout Pass, known for its scenic runs, will operate from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both today and tomorrow, providing plenty of time to enjoy its terrain.
Lost Trail Ski Area is another destination staying open daily through the New Year. In addition to its regular hours, Lost Trail has added a special holiday activity for kids: a festive “elf on the mountain” search. This unique activity will run through January 6, with both Christmas and New Year’s Days being included.
At Blacktail Mountain, 30 percent of its terrain is now open, offering skiers access to several runs. The area will remain open daily through January 5, ensuring a great skiing experience over the holidays.
Whitefish Mountain Resort, which has received an additional ten inches of snow this week, is gearing up for a busy holiday season. Although there will be no night skiing for now, the resort’s updated snow conditions should make for excellent daytime skiing.
Big Sky, one of Montana’s largest ski resorts, is offering an impressive 35 lifts and access to 236 open trails. Skiers will find a wide variety of terrain suitable for all levels, from beginner slopes to expert runs.
