Newest City of Missoula Fire Department fire engine arrives in Missoula

Missoula, MT – The City of Missoula announced that its newest Type 1 fire engine for the Missoula Fire Department has officially arrived in the city after being transported from Wisconsin.

According to the city, Master Mechanic Eric Petroff and Assistant Mechanic Ryan Murer drove the new engine across multiple states before delivering it to Missoula. During the trip, the crew made a stop in South Dakota to visit Firehenge, a roadside attraction dedicated to the fire service.

The arrival of the new engine marks an addition to the department’s fleet as it continues to maintain and upgrade equipment used in emergency response operations.
