Skier killed in February accident in Big Sky identified

Gallatin County, Montana – The Big Sky Resort skier’s fatal accident was looked into by the Gallatin County Coroner’s Office.

On February 12, a skiing accident was reported to have killed Robin Soare, 50, of Pheonix, Arizona.

She apparently hit a tree while skiing on the Headwaters Bowl run, severely injuring her skull.

She was taken to Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital, where she suffered injuries and passed away. The cause of death was determined to be blunt head trauma. It was established that the death was unintentional.

Sheriff Springer sends their sincere condolences to Robin Soare’s family and friends at this difficult time.
