Missoula Police Department arrests woman following Cooley Street incident

Missoula, MT – According to the statement, police officers arrested 39-year-old Jennifer Rasmussen following an incident this afternoon in the 1700 block of Cooley Street.

Rasmussen faces charges of Assault with a Weapon, Tampering with Evidence, Felony Partner Family Member Assault (PFMA), and Resisting Arrest.

Rasmussen was taken into custody within 20 minutes of a judge signing a warrant, demonstrating the swift response and coordination between patrol officers, SWAT, negotiators, and detectives at the scene.

The incident has been determined to be isolated, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The investigation remains active as detectives continue their work.
