Man Arrested in Connection with Suspicious Death at Missoula Gas Station

Missoula, MT – A man has been arrested in connection with a suspicious death that occurred Sunday morning at a Missoula gas station. The victim, a 37-year-old woman, was found dead inside a vehicle with visible injuries to her face.

Missoula police responded to a call just after 11:30 a.m. on Sunday regarding an unresponsive person inside a vehicle at the Noon’s gas station, located at the intersection of East Broadway and Madison. Upon arrival, officers discovered the woman’s body inside the car, and she showed no signs of life.

The suspect, 51-year-old James Brown, was found near the vehicle and taken into custody following a preliminary investigation. Brown is being held on pending charges of deliberate homicide. The Missoula Police Department (MPD) has not released additional details regarding the cause of death or the nature of the injuries.

The investigation continues as authorities process multiple scenes connected to the case. In addition to the gas station, a secondary location on Rimel Road was also examined as part of the ongoing inquiry. MPD spokeswoman Whitney Bennett stated that no further information will be shared until more details can be confirmed.
