Two fishing access points on the Bighorn River partially closed due to flooding

Billings, Montana – Parts of the Arapooish and Grant Marsh fishing access sites are blocked due to flooding on the Bighorn River.

Because of increasing volumes on the Bighorn River due to excessive precipitation in the Bighorn Basin, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks announced a partial closure at the sites. At these two locations, parking lots and highways are flooded.

Both locations temporarily forbid motorized access.

People who want to utilize the places can stroll in, however, when parking, people must take care not to obstruct roads or other access points.

Visitors are also being cautioned by FWP to be aware of rapidly changing river conditions.
