Billings, Montana – On Friday, the Western Heritage Center (WHC) will reopen to the public with three new displays.
The center’s executive director, Kevin Kooistra, stated that they are tremendously happy to present the new piece to individuals that embody Treasure State history.
He added that the center had been closed for a while so that workers could prepare new exhibits to open the 2023 season.
“We have four new exhibits—you know, three of them are really kind of classic western exhibits like the Yellowstone Engraved, the Montana Ghost Towns, the work of JK Ralston, and then this unique exhibit that we have built from our own original research, which shows all of the different aspects of the how important food is for cultural identities, for religious identities and in some cases, patriotism like the victory gardens, you know just the traditions that we all have,” added Kooistra.
All visitors are welcome to the Western Heritage Center on March 10 and 11, from 10 am to 5 pm, without charge.
Call the WHC at (406) 256-6809 or visit https://www.ywhc.org/ to learn more about future events and programming.
