Billings, Montana – Parents and students at Billings West High School have been advised that vape detectors will soon be installed in all of the toilets located within the school buildings.
In a note that was distributed to kids and their parents on Tuesday.
If a vape device has been triggered in the vicinity, the detectors will send an alert to the school administration as well as the school resource officer, according to Principal Kelly Hornby.
“A vape infraction at West can lead to school consequences, a possible code of conduct for participating athletes, and legal consequences through our SRO,” the note states.
