Man dies couple of hours after being pulled from Lower Rock Creek

Missoula, Montana – On Wednesday afternoon, a 61-year-old Colorado man died after being pulled from Lower Rock Creek in Granite County.

According to Granite County Sheriff Scott Dunkerson, the person was found unconscious in the water and was recovered by “good Samaritans” three miles south of the I-90 exit.

CPR was performed successfully, and the guy was transported to a Missoula hospital in critical condition. According to a news release, the guy died on Wednesday evening.

The victim’s body was sent to the Montana State Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy.
