Vehicle crashes into Billings residence

BILLINGS – A full-sized SUV crashed through an entry way deck of a home near downtown Billings on Tuesday.

Just before noon emergency crews were called to the home at 34 Broadwater Ave. where a Ford Expedition barreled through the front porch deck of the residence.

The eastbound Ford appeared to have first struck and knocked down a street light and narrowly missed a large tree before crashing through the front porch.

A woman and child were being attended to by EMTs but did not appear to have serious injuries.

The residents of the house were able to exit without injury.

Billings firefighters were working to free the vehicle and stabilize the house while police officers investigated the crash.

Eastbound Broadwater Avenue was reduced to one lane beginning at First Avenue West.
