Missoula Police Department honors school resource officers on National SRO Appreciation Day

Missoula, MT – The Missoula Police Department recognized National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day on February 15, highlighting the dedication of officers who serve in the city’s schools.

Officials said SROs do more than respond to calls; they mentor students, provide safety education, support school staff, and help create safe learning environments.

Their work fosters positive relationships and ensures students can focus on education and personal growth.

The department thanked all SROs for their professionalism and commitment to making a difference in the lives of Missoula’s students.
