Public Invited to Open House for US Highway 93 Post Creek Hill and Nine Pipe Eagle Pass Trail Projects

MISSOULA, MT — The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is inviting the public to an open house event to discuss the upcoming design and construction plans for two key projects: the US Highway 93 Post Creek Hill and Nine Pipe Eagle Pass Trail.

The open house will take place on May 1, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ninepipes Lodge. Local residents, commuters, and stakeholders are encouraged to attend to learn more about the proposed improvements to the region’s transportation infrastructure.

The MDT’s proposed upgrades aim to address growing traffic needs and enhance safety on this critical stretch of highway. Among the key improvements on the table are wildlife crossings, which aim to reduce animal-related accidents, and widening the roadway to accommodate increasing traffic volumes. Additionally, the project plans to add truck lanes and build new bridges, all of which are expected to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion.

One of the notable features of the plan is the addition of shared-use paths, designed to provide safer routes for pedestrians and cyclists, further promoting multimodal transportation in the area.

At the open house, attendees will have the opportunity to view design drafts and interact with project experts. MDT representatives will be on hand to answer questions, gather feedback, and provide insights into the scope of the projects.

This event provides a valuable opportunity for the public to engage in the planning process and offer input on how the highway improvements will impact their community. MDT encourages anyone with an interest in the future of US Highway 93 and the surrounding area to attend and get involved.

For more information, residents can contact the Montana Department of Transportation directly or visit the MDT website.
