Red Lodge, Montana – Older children can still enroll in the Winter Wildlife Camp at Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary.
From 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturdays in January, children aged 9 to 12 can go snowshoeing, look for footprints in the snow, test the durability of bison fur and blubber, and do much more.
Kids can pick a subject that appeals to them or sign up for all four days for a discount.
The following are events planned for January:
• Jan. 7 and 8 – Winter Survival
• Jan. 14 and 15 – Tracks in the Snow
• Jan. 21 and 22 – Bison, Bears and Blue Jays
• Jan. 28 and 29 – WHO Goes there? Cam-owl-flage Course.
