Person murdered during the hostage incident at the Clinton store

Clinton, Montana – A probe is being conducted after Missoula police claimed they were compelled to murder a man holding his wife hostage in a business.

Just after 11 a.m. on Saturday, according to the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the Clinton Market in response to allegations of a husband taking his wife hostage.

The sheriff’s office stated in a press release that deputies were “forced to use lethal force” after the situation deteriorated to that point.

The inquiry is being conducted by the Division of Criminal Investigation of the Montana Department of Justice, while the Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office is serving as the coroner.

Nobody has yet publicly disclosed the names of the individuals involved.
