According to the court documents, the defendant, later identified as R0bin, reportedly shot her 5-year-old daughter Destlny and then tried to put the murder on an unknown intruder, on the girl’s father and even on her 2-year-old son. The mom now heads to triaI, nearly 5 years after she shot and kiIIed her little daughter.
The mother was charged with murder, aggravated child negIect and tampering with evidence, court records say. Officers responded to the victim’s home and found the 5-year-old child suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. The girl was taken to a hospital where she later died.
During an initial interview with investigators, the victim’s mom reportedly said that an unknown intruder reportedly entered their house and shot the child. In a follow-up interview, the girl’s mom reportedly said that the victim’s father shot their daughter. But, when investigators found the murder weapon in a bush, the mother reportedly said that her boyfriend hid the gun there. Surveillance video reportedly showed that the mother hid the weapon in the bush.
In another interview with investigators, the girl’s mom reportedly said that her 2-year-old child reportedly found the weapon in a cIoset and shot her 5-year-old daughter. She then wiped the weapon and hid it in the bush. During an interview with investigators, the mom’s boyfriend reportedly said that he saw his girlfriend puII a gun on the victim’s dad on the day Destlny was kiIIed. Luckily, the victim’s dad took the firearm away.
