Paradise, Montana – Around 9:20 on Sunday morning, the Sanders County Sheriff’s Office received a report of 25 cars having derailed on Highway 135 between milepost 19 and 20, across the river from Quinn’s Resort.
The cars don’t contain any hazardous items, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office claims that they were loaded with clay and supplies like canned goods.
It is unknown if any materials were inside the one refrigerated car at the time of the derailment.
The cars seemed to be vacant in several cases.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that some of the autos were seen to be emitting powder. Powder is thought to be constructed of clay.
