Kalispell, MT — A woman was arrested Tuesday afternoon after allegedly brandishing a knife in the lobby of Logan Health, prompting a swift response from hospital security and law enforcement.
At approximately 4:45 p.m., Kalispell Police Department officers were called to the hospital following reports of a woman armed with a knife. In response to the threat, Logan Health staff evacuated the lobby, and security personnel quickly intervened.
By the time police arrived on the scene, the woman, later identified as 44-year-old Amber Wenzl, had already been detained by Logan Health security officers, who had handcuffed her without incident.
Wenzl was arrested and taken into custody on charges of assault with a weapon. She was subsequently transported to the Flathead County Detention Center.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the event, though no further details have been released at this time.
