Missoula, MT — Firefighters from the East Missoula Rural Fire District responded to a structure fire on Staple Street Tuesday evening. Crews were dispatched at approximately 6:52 p.m. after reports of smoke and flames coming from an attached garage.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the garage fully engulfed in flames. Crews quickly focused their efforts on containing the fire to the garage, preventing it from spreading to nearby structures. The fire was brought under control within a short time, but firefighters remained on the scene for several hours to check for any hot spots and ensure the area was fully secure.
No injuries were reported in connection with the fire, and the cause of the blaze is currently under investigation. Officials have not released additional details at this time.
