On I90 in Billings, a semi wrecks and spills fuel, causing traffic to back up at Zoo Drive

Billings, Montana – On Friday night, a semi-truck incident on Interstate 90 close to Zoo Drive caused fuel to pour over the road, causing traffic to back up for almost 10 miles to the east.

According to accounts from the scene, the collision was reported at approximately 5 p.m.

By the exit, a semi-trailer jackknifed near the bridge. According to Billings Fire Battalion Chief Dan Cotrell, the saddle tank, which stores the truck’s fuel, was pierced when the vehicle slid and spilled up to 50 to 100 gallons of petrol.

As of 6:20 p.m., the fuel had been cleaned up, and the road had reopened.

Nobody was hurt, he claimed.

Along with tow trucks, law enforcement, and firefighters from Billings are present.

At Zoo Drive, where there is a route through town, motorists are leaving the freeway. Frontage Road is being used by some.
