2 people injured, one dead in Highway 93 accident

Ronan, Montana – A Ronan man was killed in an accident on US Highway 93 near St. Ignatius on Thursday morning.

According to the Montana Patrol, the victim was driving a southbound SUV around mile marker 34 when his vehicle was struck by a northbound SUV that over the centerline.

The impact knocked the southbound SUV off the road, causing it to turn over. The driver, a 58-year-old Ronan male, died in the accident.

Following the accident, the victim’s passenger, a 55-year-old Ronan woman who was thrown from the carĀ  was brought to St. Patrick Hospital.

The 49-year-old northbound SUV driver of Arlee, was transferred to St. Luke’s Hospital in Ronan.

Montana Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
