HOW MANY FANS WILL BE ALLOWED AT GRIZ FOOTBALL GAMES THIS FALL?

If we didn’t already think this way, the last 13 months have sure showed us that there’s no such thing at a sure thing.

But University of Montana Grizzly football fans have got to love the optimism expressed this week by the UM Athletic Department. But other parties will be involved in the final decision, so we know there’s no such thing as a….well, you know.

With that disclaimer, we share the news delivered to us by UM Sports Information Director Eric Taber, who reports that the University of Montana Department of Athletics announced its intention to return to full-capacity attendance at Washington-Grizzly Stadium for the fall 2021 football season.

The decision falls in line with the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education’s decision to operate campuses in Montana as normal this fall, which will still be contingent on all city, county, state and federal community health guidelines.

As Director of Athletics Kent Haslam puts it, “We know that nothing is guaranteed, and obviously, much can change between now and the fall. But, we are excited to welcome 26,000 back to Washington-Grizzly Stadium, and we hope our fans are just as excited to join us and cheer on the Griz.”

There are going to be some big changes in how you acquire your tickets. All football tickets for the 2021 season and beyond will be 100-percent digital, with the ability to be printed at home or delivered straight to your mobile device to increase speed and convenience at the gate. You can learn more about that here at the mobile ticketing page of the Griz website. Also, for more information on football tickets, contact the Adams Center Ticket Office at  1-888-MONTANA.

Here’s hoping for a long, slow, beautiful summer then a fall filled with football!
