Missoula, MT — Firefighters from the Helena-Lewis & Clark National Forest are actively responding to a wildfire reported Thursday evening in the Dry Creek drainage area near Huckleberry Pass.
The fire was first reported at approximately 7:50 p.m. on May 29, 2025, and is estimated to have burned around three acres. The location of the fire is roughly 11 miles northwest of Lincoln.
Resources dispatched to the scene include a Type II helicopter, two engines, a 10-person suppression module, and an Interagency Hotshot Crew, all working to contain the blaze.
According to the Montana Fire Info website, the cause of the fire is believed to be natural. At this time, there are no reports of the fire threatening any homes or structures, and no evacuation warnings or orders have been issued.
