Great Falls, MT – The Great Falls Clinic Legacy Foundation has been awarded a $6,000 grant from the American Land Title Association (ALTA) Good Deeds Foundation, a significant contribution aimed at supporting rural Montanans who must travel to Great Falls for medical treatment.
Tammy Sawyer, from Legacy Title of Montana in Great Falls, nominated the Legacy Foundation for the grant. Established to provide assistance to patients traveling from rural areas, the foundation offers free, temporary housing to both patients and their caregivers, helping to ease the financial burden of hotel stays and other related expenses on top of medical bills.
Grant Bebee, director of the Great Falls Clinic Legacy Foundation, expressed his gratitude for the grant, noting that the funds would be used to enhance services such as laundry facilities and the community kitchen, which are vital for guests during their stay.
“The facility was built in 2021, and since then, we’ve had over 2,000 patients stay here from various medical centers across Montana,” Bebee said. “We’re going into our fourth year now, and this grant will help ensure we continue to provide the support needed for these individuals and their families.”
The Legacy Foundation’s facility, which opened in September 2021, has become a lifeline for patients seeking treatment in Great Falls. Its services are offered free of charge, underscoring the foundation’s commitment to alleviating some of the challenges faced by rural residents in need of medical care.
As a nonprofit organization, the Great Falls Clinic Legacy Foundation relies on donations and community support to continue its work. The recent grant will enable the foundation to expand its services and continue to provide comfort and care for those who need it most.
This grant from the ALTA Good Deeds Foundation highlights the critical role of community partnerships in sustaining nonprofit efforts and providing essential services to vulnerable populations in Montana.
