Lockwood, Montana – The Lockwood Fire Department responded to a report of an RV caught on fire on Monday afternoon.
Fortunately, according to Lockwood’s deputy chief, Karim Eshbaught, there was no one inside the RV at the time of the fire, so no injuries were reported.
The blaze was quickly brought under control, but the RV has been completely destroyed. The fire also caused some damage to a neighboring home.
“I believe if it weren’t for some outside interference, he may have still had a home here, but he’s lived here so long with no incidents, and then all of a sudden today, Monday of all days, creates a problem where he now has to look for another home,” the property landlord, Arthur Stewart, said.
As Stewart points out, the fire may have spread considerably faster if it hadn’t been for the nearby red fire hydrant.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
