Billings police believe bakery car crash caused by man’s foot slipping off brake while parking

Billings police believe that a car crashed through the front of the Franz Sweetheart Bread Bakery Outlet Saturday after a man’s foot slipped off the brake as he was trying to park.

The crash injured a 61-year-old woman from Lame Deer who was inside the Heights business. She was taken by ambulance to be evaluated, according to Billings Police Department Lt. Brandon Wooley.

The driver of the SUV that crashed is an 83-year-old man from Billings. No citations were issued after the crash, according to Wooley.

BPD and the Billings Fire Department responded to the crash on 1211 Main St. at about 1:15 p.m. Saturday after the vehicle went through the front door and a glass window.
