Drunken driver crashes into Billings Library

Billings, Montana – Late on Tuesday, a drunk motorist struck the north entrance of the Billings Library.

According to Victoria Hill, a spokeswoman for Billings, the event took at around 10:45 p.m.

The entry doors were hit by a drunk driver who then drove off after swerving off the road.

“Thankfully, a witness saw the incident and watched the suspect drive away,” Hill said in a press release.

The motorist was located by the police, who then took him to the hospital to receive medical attention.

“The entrance has two sets of doors, an exterior set, and an interior set,” Hill said. “The exterior doors took the brunt of the crash, and the interior doors were unharmed, so those are locked up and secure.”

Until the entry on 6th Avenue is fixed, library visitors will need to enter through the parking lot.

On Wednesday, the library will open promptly at 9 a.m.
