Missoula, MT – The City of Missoula is encouraging families to sign up their middle school students for fall afterschool programs, with several clubs scheduled to begin during the last week of October.
The programs offer students opportunities to explore new interests, develop practical skills and spend time away from screens through a variety of activities, including arts, outdoor education, games and personal development.
According to the city, spaces are still available in several clubs, including American Red Cross Babysitter Training, Community Builders Club, Dungeons & Dragons Club, Glow-Up Club focused on cosmetics and self-care, Strategy & Puzzles Club, Wheels on the Bus Pottery Club, Outdoor Stewardship and Global Explorers.
The clubs are designed to give middle school students opportunities to learn, socialize and discover new hobbies in an afterschool setting.
Activities range from creative projects and strategic games to environmental stewardship and global exploration. The babysitter training program also offers students an opportunity to learn skills that could be useful when caring for younger children.
Families can find program details, schedules and registration information in the city’s Fall Recreation Guide. The available afterschool clubs are listed on page 11 of the guide.
The city shared the announcement as the programs prepare to begin, encouraging parents to review the options and find a club that matches their child’s interests.
The Fall Recreation Guide is available on the City of Missoula website.
