Woman Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash Near Terry

Missoula, MT – A 34-year-old woman from Terry died in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning on Interstate 94 in Prairie County. The incident occurred between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. near mile marker 164, roughly 10 miles east of the town of Terry.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol (MHP), the woman was driving a Chevrolet Silverado westbound when the vehicle lost control on icy road conditions. The truck veered off the right side of the highway, crashed through a fence, and then rolled down a steep embankment, coming to a stop in a canal.

The woman, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. MHP officials confirmed that speed, alcohol, and drugs were not factors in the crash.

The woman’s identity has not yet been released by authorities. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
