Woman Arrested After Attempted Bank Robbery in Missoula

Missoula, MT — A woman was arrested Wednesday morning after attempting to rob a bank in downtown Missoula. The incident occurred at approximately 10:35 a.m. when the Missoula Police Department (MPD) and the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a bank located in the 100 block of West Broadway.

Multiple 911 calls and a panic alarm from the bank indicated that a robbery was in progress. Upon arrival, law enforcement officers made contact with the suspect inside the bank lobby. The woman was arrested without incident, and no injuries were reported during the encounter.

The suspect, whose identity has not yet been released, was unarmed at the time of the attempted robbery. She now faces a pending charge of Attempted Robbery. The Missoula Police Department has launched an investigation into the incident, which is ongoing.
