Billings, MT — Two people were hospitalized following a fire that destroyed a mobile home in Billings on Tuesday morning.
The fire broke out just after 11 a.m. in the 3200 block of Phillip Street on the south side of the city. When Billings Fire Department crews arrived at the scene, the mobile home was already engulfed in flames.
Firefighters were able to rescue one individual from the burning home, while another person managed to escape on her own. However, due to the severity of her injuries, she was airlifted to a burn center in Denver. The conditions of both victims remain unknown at this time.
The fire was brought under control quickly by responding crews, but the home appears to be a total loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, with officials working to determine what led to the blaze.
This incident remains under review by the Billings Fire Department.
