Missoula, MT – A snowmobiler was successfully rescued on Saturday afternoon near Lost Trail Pass in Lemhi County, Idaho, after sustaining injuries in a crash. The incident prompted a swift response from local and regional rescue teams, ultimately involving a specialized air rescue operation.
According to reports, Air Idaho Rescue initially responded to the scene but was unable to safely land near the crash site due to challenging terrain. In response, Two Bear Air, an organization known for its specialized aerial rescue operations, was dispatched to the area to assist.
Utilizing advanced hoisting equipment, Two Bear Air was able to safely retrieve the injured snowmobiler from the difficult location. The victim was then transported to a waiting Air Idaho Rescue team for further medical treatment.
Two Bear Air Rescue took to social media to thank the other agencies involved in the operation, expressing appreciation for the collaborative efforts. “We would like to thank Air Idaho Rescue, Lemhi County Sheriff, and Salmon Search and Rescue for a well-coordinated response,” the organization wrote in their post.
