Project Community Connect Returns to Missoula for 16th Annual Event

Missoula, MT — Project Community Connect will return to Missoula for its 16th annual event on Friday, April 11th, offering a wide range of free services to local residents. The event will take place at the Missoula Public Library from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with up to 75 service providers volunteering their time to support the community.

The event is designed to be a one-stop shop, providing essential services such as housing assistance, mental health resources, dental care, and veteran services. The goal is to ensure that individuals and families in need have access to the support they require, all at no cost.

“There are no barriers to entry, which is one of the best aspects of this event,” said Selya Avila, Lead Coordinator of Project Community Connect. “Anyone who feels they need support can simply walk in.”

The Missoula Public Library will be bustling with activity, as vendors and pop-up services fill all four floors of the library and spill out onto Adams Street, which will be closed for the day to accommodate the event. The library expects around 400 people to attend.

In addition to the various services available, the event is still in need of volunteers, particularly those who can offer free haircuts to attendees. Those interested in contributing to the event are encouraged to contact Avila via email at [email protected] or by phone at 406-370-8538.

Project Community Connect provides a unique opportunity for Missoula residents to access vital services and connect with local organizations that can help meet their needs. The event continues to be a vital resource for the community, bringing people together to support one another in times of need.
