Polson Man Killed in Christmas Morning Shooting

Polson, MT – A 31-year-old man was shot and killed early Christmas morning following a disturbance in Polson. The victim, later identified as Sheldon Fisher, was found dead after authorities responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting in the area of 11th Avenue West.

The Polson Police Department, along with deputies from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the Flathead Tribal Police, arrived at the scene shortly after the calls were made. Fisher’s body was discovered, and it was determined that he had been fatally shot during a confrontation involving several individuals.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that arrests were made on Wednesday in connection with the incident, including the capture of the suspected shooter. However, the identity of the suspect has not been released at this time.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting is ongoing, with assistance from the Lake County Coroner’s Office and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities have not yet disclosed further details about the motive or the individuals involved.
