Missoula Police Officer Struck by Vehicle, Injured in Monday Night Incident

Missoula, MT — A Missoula Police Department officer was struck by a vehicle while responding to an unrelated incident on Monday evening, according to the Missoula Police Department.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. at the intersection of South 3rd Street West and Reserve Street. The officer, whose identity has not been released, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Missoula Police Department Public Information Officer Whitney Bennett confirmed that the officer’s family members have been notified of the situation.

The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation. Authorities are urging the public to exercise caution on roadways as conditions remain hazardous due to slick surfaces. Drivers are particularly advised to be alert for black ice, especially on bridges and overpasses.
