Missoula, MT – The City of Missoula has officially kicked off its annual street sweeping program, with crews from the Street Operations & Maintenance Division starting their regular sweeping schedule this week.
The street sweeping will take place on weekdays, with crews working across various zones in the city through early November. This effort aims to maintain clean roadways, clear debris, and improve overall street safety.
To ensure that the sweeping process runs smoothly, green “No Parking” cones will be placed on streets the day before crews plan to sweep. These cones serve as a notice to residents that parking will be restricted on that side of the street the following day. Vehicle owners are advised to park on the opposite side of the street or in their driveways to allow the crews to complete their work. Sweeping typically begins at 7 a.m. on scheduled days.
Residents are encouraged to keep an eye out for the green cones and adjust their parking habits accordingly. The street sweeping initiative is essential for maintaining Missoula’s roadways and enhancing the city’s overall appearance. With crews working diligently through November, Missoula residents can expect cleaner streets throughout the spring and fall months.
