Man convicted of attempted homicide escapes from Billings pre-release center

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man sentenced for attempted homicide who walked away from a Billings pre-release center Thursday night.

Edward John Grogg escaped from custody at Alpha House Men’s Pre-release Center, according to the Montana Department of Corrections. Grogg is described as having brown hair, blue eyes and standing 5 feet 6 inches tall.

The 43-year-old was serving time at Alpha House for a 2005 sentence for attempted deliberate homicide in Flathead County.
