Missoula, MT— Knife River Mountain West Division, in partnership with the City of Kalispell, has launched a reconstruction project on Third Street that is expected to span approximately two months.
The project will result in road closures stretching from First Avenue East to the intersection at Third Avenue East. In addition, the intersection at Third Avenue East will face further closures starting June 16, which will last for two weeks.
Construction crews will take a scheduled break for Independence Day, pausing work after June and resuming on July 7.
Officials warn that all timelines are contingent upon weather conditions, which may affect progress. Motorists should anticipate delays of up to 15 minutes and are urged to exercise caution while traveling through the work zones.
