Fire Destroys Home South of Conner; No Major Injuries Reported

Missoula, MT – A fire completely destroyed a home south of Conner on Thursday morning, leaving only parts of the frame standing. The Darby Rural Fire Department was dispatched to assist the Sula Rural Volunteer Fire Department just before 7 a.m. after reports of the blaze.

Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters quickly adopted defensive strategies to control the rapidly spreading fire. Over 17,000 gallons of water were used in the effort to extinguish the flames, though the structure was ultimately lost.

Fortunately, no major injuries were reported by the fire departments. However, the cause of the fire remains under investigation, as officials have not released further details.

Crews remained on site until just after 12 p.m., ensuring the area was secure before clearing the scene. The fire has left a significant impact on the community, and authorities continue to assess the damage.
