Fatal Crash on U.S. Highway 2 Near Kalispell Claims Life of Local Woman

KALISPELL, Mont. — A 43-year-old woman from Kalispell died Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 2, approximately 5 miles east of Kalispell. The incident occurred around 9:15 a.m. when the woman, driving a Hyundai Accent GLS, swerved and collided with a Dodge Ram 1500.

According to authorities, the woman’s vehicle left the roadway and entered a ditch on the north side of the highway. It struck the edge of a driveway, causing the vehicle to roll over. Tragically, the woman was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 30-year-old man from Bozeman, was uninjured in the collision. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, but it serves as a reminder of the importance of seatbelt use and safe driving practices.

The names of those involved have not been released pending notification of next of kin.
