Deer Lodge Approves Beaumont Place Subdivision to Expand Affordable Housing Options

DEER LODGE, Mont. — The city of Deer Lodge has approved the final plat for the Beaumont Place Subdivision, a major development aimed at expanding affordable housing opportunities in the region. The project, which will span 44 acres on the east end of Deer Lodge along Interstate 90, will provide space for up to 216 new housing units.

Beaumont Place represents the first master-planned subdivision in Deer Lodge in more than 70 years, signaling a significant step in addressing the growing demand for residential housing in the area. The city has long grappled with limited housing options, particularly for individuals and families seeking affordable homes. This new subdivision is expected to play a crucial role in meeting these needs.

Construction for the first phase of the development is set to begin by August, with subsequent phases to follow. Local officials are optimistic that the project will help revitalize the area and offer much-needed housing to the community.

Lot sales are now open, and the developers are accepting reservations for pre-construction homes. The subdivision’s location along the major transportation corridor of I-90 is expected to make it an attractive option for both commuters and those seeking a quieter, rural setting while remaining connected to larger urban areas.

With a focus on affordable living, Beaumont Place aims to provide a mix of housing types, though additional details about the specific nature of the homes have not yet been released. As the project progresses, it is expected to bring new residents, stimulate the local economy, and create jobs in construction and related industries.

As Deer Lodge moves forward with this significant development, the community looks toward the future with anticipation of how Beaumont Place will shape the area in the years to come.
