Community fundraiser allows Meals on Wheels to cover all Christmas Day deliveries in Missoula

Missoula, MT – A community fundraiser supported by the City of Missoula Police Department and local residents resulted in a significant increase in donations this year, allowing Meals on Wheels to fully cover every meal delivery on Christmas Day.

According to the department, the fundraiser raised approximately 72 percent more than it did last year.

The increase ensured that all scheduled Christmas Day meal deliveries for Meals on Wheels recipients in Missoula were funded.

Police officials credited both community members and department personnel for contributing to the effort, emphasizing the impact the donations will have on seniors and individuals who rely on the service during the holiday.

Meals on Wheels provides regular meal deliveries to residents who may be homebound or in need of additional support, and Christmas Day coverage is considered especially meaningful for recipients who might otherwise spend the holiday alone.

The department thanked everyone who donated and helped make the fundraiser a success.
