Bozeman Taco Time looking for new property owner

Bozeman, Montana – Due to dwindling sales, the owner of the Taco Time on Main Street is trying to sell the building.

The Taco Time, which had a successful drive-thru when it initially opened in 1975, did well during the epidemic. But according to owner Steve Adams, as the pandemic started to fade away last year, so did their sales.

Adams thinks many of the locals who used to frequent Taco Time as children have moved away. Bozeman has grown, bringing with it new businesses and customers who patronize the existing ones.

“You know, there are how many thousands of people in this valley, and we’re only seeing 65 to 75 orders come through here a day. I really wish I could complete a hundred orders each day. It would greatly simplify life.

Adams did write about the restaurant’s predicament on Facebook a few weeks ago, and he said that since then, sales have been stable enough to cover the bills as he continues to hunt for a new property owner.

When Adams was 12 years old, he began painting the parking spaces in the lot for the previous Taco Time owner. When he reached 15, he formally began working at Taco Time, and in 2002, he purchased the business.

He stated he is open to offers from anyone and that he hopes to sell the property to a mom-and-pop type of business.

Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
