Missoula, MT — The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of a body found near Highway 200 and Gold Creek on the evening of December 12, 2024. The body was discovered at approximately 5:33 p.m. by a group of individuals who were in the area searching for a Christmas tree.
Upon arriving at the scene, detectives located the body of a woman believed to be in her late 30s to early 40s. No identifying information was found on or near the body, and authorities have not yet been able to confirm her identity. The body has been transported to the Missoula Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation.
Sheriff’s Office officials are asking anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area or has information regarding the woman’s identity to come forward.
