LAME DEER, MT — Northern Cheyenne tribal authorities are investigating the discovery of a body found near the Commodity Building in west Lame Deer on Thursday morning.
The body was discovered at approximately 8:30 a.m. local time, with officials stating that it appeared to have been deceased for several hours before being found. Northern Cheyenne Investigative Services confirmed that a person was taken into custody around an hour after the discovery, though authorities have not released the identity of the individual involved or any further details regarding the circumstances of the death.
