Havre Police Investigating Suspicious Death

HAVRE, MT— The Havre Police Department is currently investigating a suspicious death following a 911 call on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, reporting the discovery of a deceased female at a residence on the 300 block of 14th Avenue.

Upon arrival, responding officers confirmed the individual was deceased. However, the circumstances surrounding the death appeared unusual, prompting investigators to treat the case as suspicious with the possibility of foul play involved.

The Montana Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has been requested to assist in the ongoing investigation. At this time, police have not provided additional details, including the identity of the deceased, as the investigation remains in its early stages.

Authorities have emphasized that there is no known threat to the public at this point. In an effort to curb misinformation circulating on social media, police have clarified that the decedent was found “completely intact.”
